This class was created to teach you the rules, regulations, and ethics of performing notarizations in Maryland. This class is specifically designed for first time notary applicants in Maryland. Renewal applicants are welcome if your commission expires in the next 60 days and you prefer in person.

This state approved course meets the requirements for the Maryland notary training course of study and exam to apply for your notary commission.
This class is for individuals applying for a notary commission in Maryland for the FIRST time or if you need to reapply due to a lapse and your commission is inactive.
Topics covered include:
- Maryland notary laws, rules, regulations, and procedures
- Recordkeeping for your notary journal
- How to charge for general notary work in Maryland
- Best practices to become a knowledgeable notary for compliance and reduced liability
- Practice notarizations so you know how to complete a notarial certificate
All materials for the class is included with your registration cost.
By the end of this class, you will have the confidence necessary to complete your first notarization or relearn how to conduct proper notarizations in the state of Maryland.
This class is not to teach you about becoming a loan signing agent.
Interested in learning about setting up a mobile notary business, there is a self study course for that :-)!
You will need to bring a device to take your exam at the end of class (this can be your cellphone, laptop or tablet).
Refund/Cancelation policy: No refunds but your registration is transferable 1 time for another class. If you are unable to attend class, please communicate that to me at least 24 hours prior to class.
